WELLINGTON, Contemporary Zealand (AP) — A crimson panda that spent two days on the lam after escaping from an Australian zoo used to be recaptured Sunday after he used to be spotted placing out in a fig tree in a nearby park.
Named Ravi, the 7-year-dilapidated panda had arrived at Adelaide Zoo closing week after he used to be introduced in from one other zoo with hopes that he would pair up with a female crimson panda named Mishry. But by Friday, Ravi used to be long past.
Adelaide Zoo Director Phil Ainsley told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. that zookeepers spent Sunday attempting to entice Ravi down from the fig tree with some of his approved meals, together with bamboo and candy corn, to no avail.
