Well, Kishan Pedhapally, creator of Telangana-based ASAV Wines revealed the launch of Jamun Wine– white wine from Java plum (the Indian blackberry, widely called kala jamun)– throughout the NRAI Conclave in Hyderabad recently. The red wine has an unique purple shade which originates from the peel of the fruit. Feedback from red wine fans at a white wine gratitude session at the conclave, consisted of smooth mouth feel, an unique nose of jamun and spices and a textured taste buds of tannins, jamun and dark berry flavours with a long surface. The red wine sets well with Italian and Indian food; flavour profile boosted with hot food. Apart from the novelty in the Indian market, Kishan declares Jamun red wine likewise accumulates various health advantages to drinkers.
