Ottawa authorities verified that a pedestrian was eliminated Friday night after he was struck by an automobile on Walkley Road.

Police were called at about 9:30 p.m. for the crash including a car and a pedestrian on Walkley Road near Colliston Crescent.

The 56- year-old pedestrian caught his injuries.

The reason for the accident was still under examination on Saturday.

Investigators wish to speak with any witnesses or individuals who might have dashcam video of the occurrence.
