A drunk man created ruckus at a petrol pump after he could not make the payment and was denied to leave.
By Abdul Basheer: Three people were injured and property was damaged after a drunk man created a ruckus at gunpoint at a petrol pump in the Bahadurpura area of Hyderabad on Monday.
The incident took place at around 5 pm when the accused got Rs 500 petrol refilled in his vehicle. At the time of payment, his UPI did not work and so he said that he would make the payment the next day. However, the staff at the petrol pump did not allow him to leave, which infuriated him.
He called two of his friends and took out his gun. While he pointed his gun at the staff, his aides attacked them and destroyed property. Three people were injured in the ruckus.
Prutum Mehta, the owner of the petrol pump, said, “Today, at around 5 pm, a customer got petrol filled for Rs 500. He was under the influence of alcohol. After his online payment was unsuccessful, he called his aides, who came holding bottles claiming it to be acid and pointing gun at us. Three have sustained injuries. After the police reached the spot, one was arrested while the other two escaped.”
According to the police, “One person has been arrested and further investigation is going on.”
