He made these remarks in an address to leading marine leaders amidst China’s increasing assertiveness in the Indian Ocean area, news firm PTI reported.
In his remarks, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan restated the requirement for functional readiness, self-reliance and the requirement for more combination in the militaries towards jointly fulfilling India’s nationwide security imperatives.
