Washington, Nov. 17, 2022— USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service is revealing proposed modifications to the foods recommended to individuals in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, referred to as WIC. These science-based modifications include suggestions from the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025
