According to police sources, 32-year-old accused Anuj Sharma alias Achintya Govinddas belongs to an affluent family. His father has retired from the post of Assistant General Manager in a National Bank. He lived in a joint family with his maternal grandmother Saroj Sharma (64), father, three cousins, two cousins and one brother. While one sister got married in Bikaner, the other lived in Jaipur with her mother after divorce. Saroj Sharma’s son lives abroad.
Name changed to Achintya Govinddas
Anuj did engineering from a private college about 10 years ago. After completing his studies, he also worked in a private company for some time, but later left the job and started living a celibate life. Influenced by the Hare Krishna movement, Anuj left his job in 2012-13 and joined a temple. After joining the movement, he changed his name to Achintya Govinddas.
Reached the police station to fabricate a false story
After committing the crime, Anuj himself went to the police station to fabricate a false story and filed a missing report, but someone saw him while washing the blood stains in the kitchen and the heart-wrenching incident came to light.
