There are many challenges in front of Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra politics. The challenge of saving the supremacy of Shiv Sena, the challenge of furthering the ideology of Hindutva and the biggest then being active in the politics of Maharashtra. The developments that have taken place in the last few months have only worked to weaken Uddhav and his faction Shiv Sena. Power has gone out of hand, apart from this there was such a split in the party that many MLAs went with Eknath Shinde. In such a situation, Uddhav has to work on a whole new strategy, prepare to walk on a path where Shiv Sena has probably never walked before. This can be called casteism politics, it can also be called social engineering in English. In simple words Mayawati also has style of politics.
Balasaheb’s politics and Uddhav’s experiment
This is that experiment of Uddhav Thackeray, from which Balasaheb Thackeray always stayed away. Since the inception of Shiv Sena, there was politics only on two issues, at the time of establishment, Maratha identity used to be at its center, then 21 years ago the ideology of Hindutva was also taken along. In these two directions, this party also expanded itself and got to see many big leaders. But now Uddhav wants to do something out of the box. They want to start their new politics on the basis of castes. Want to join hands with those parties whose caste connection is strong on the ground, who have good presence in any one community.

Uddhav’s caste card, who is shaking hands?
In this episode, Uddhav Thackeray is paying attention to two aspects. First to shake hands with Bhima Shakti and second to bring Lahu Shakti with him. Here Bhim Shakti means those parties which are inspired by Ambedkar’s ideas. At the same time, there is a preparation to help the Matang community through blood power. The great thing is that Uddhav has already started putting his social engineering on the ground. They have announced that they are going to join hands with Sambhaji Brigade. This brigade, which raises the voice of the Maratha communities, is very active in the politics of Maharashtra. It has an old association with controversies as well, but now Uddhav has agreed to adopt this strategy to solve caste and other equations. Prakash Ambedkar and his Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) are also part of this strategy. Uddhav is also trying to forge an alliance with this organization.
Won’t leave Hindutva behind, edge with new strategy
Interestingly, Uddhav’s grandfather Prabhodhankar Thackeray and Prakash Ambedkar’s grandfather Baba Saheb Ambedkar have worked with each other to strengthen Hinduism. Both have worked together for a long time for social reforms in Hinduism. In such a situation, whether Uddhav can now forge a similar alliance with Prakash Ambedkar on the basis of that connection, everyone’s eye is going to be on it. Now Uddhav is carrying forward the principles of Ambedkar, forging alliances with parties to help the Maratha community, besides bringing such leaders with them who have tremendous popularity on the ground and people to give an edge to Hindutva politics. Eager to hear them.
Now Uddhav is not just thinking, big steps are being taken continuously in this direction from his side. Recently, Uddhav has included firebrand leader Sushma Andhare in his group. Within just three months, her stature has become such that she is currently leading the Maha Prabodhan Yatra in the state. Andhare’s coming from a nomadic tribe in Marathwada can also prove favorable for Uddhav’s current politics.
At this time, Uddhav Thackeray is also trying to connect himself with Lahu Sena. Lahuji Vastad Salve’s organization is very powerful in the Matang community. It also has a separate identity in the politics of Maharashtra. In such a situation, under a definite strategy, Uddhav is trying to bring together the communities of all these different castes.
