According to the report, Google will assess the performance of its employees through a new ranking and performance improvement plan.
This report has come to the fore at a time when three top tech companies Meta, Twitter and Amazon have laid off thousands of employees worldwide in the last few weeks.
Through this new scheme, the company’s managers will show the way out to the employees performing less than expected at the beginning of next year. Along with this, the management will be able to rank the team members and give them bonuses and stock grants accordingly.
However, Google’s parent company Alphabet has not yet officially confirmed the layoffs. But a few months ago, the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai had indicated this.
