In West Bengal, once again the case of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express train came to the fore. However, when the matter was investigated, this claim turned out to be false. Preliminary investigation by North Frontier Railway revealed that no such incident of stone pelting took place in Vande Bharat Express on Sunday. It was a rumour. Actually some passengers claimed that they heard the sound but due to stone pelting this sound was not there. In fact, the scratches on the window were not caused by stone pelting.
In fact, it was informed that stones were thrown at the C14 compartment of Vande Bharat. Due to this incident, the train had to be stopped for a long time at Bolpur station, whereas there is only a stoppage of 2 minutes here.

Let us tell you that on December 30 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the Vande Bharat train in Bengal. After this, on January 1 and then on January 2, the incident of stone pelting on the train came to light. The CPRO of Eastern Railway had also given a statement in this regard. He had said that after scanning the video footage, it has been found that the stone pelting that took place on Monday (January 1) took place in Malda district. On the other hand, the incident of Tuesday (January 2) was of Kishankanj in Bihar. It was insisted from his side that efforts are on to nab the accused. Mamta Banerjee denied stone pelting
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee denied the incident of stone pelting that took place on 1 and 2 January. He had said that stones were pelted on Vande Bharat in Bihar, not in West Bengal. Strict action will be taken against those who have done the work of spreading lies. An attempt is being made to defame our state. Anyway Vande Bharat is not a new train. This is an old train in which a new engine has been installed.
BJP had demanded NIA investigation
After stone pelting on Vande Bharat on January 1, Leader of Opposition in West Bengal and BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari demanded an NIA inquiry into the incident. He had tweeted and said – This incident is unfortunate. Stones were pelted on India’s Gaurav Vande Bharat Express in Malda district of West Bengal. Is this revenge for the slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on the day of inauguration? I urge PM Narendra Modi, Indian Railways to hand over the investigation in this matter to NIA.
