The third match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia is to be played in Indore from March 1 (Wednesday). The Indian team is 2-0 ahead in the series and its target will be to win this match and gain an unassailable lead. In the third Test, the fans will also be eyeing the playing-11 XI of the Indian team. It will be interesting to see whether KL Rahul gets a chance or not.
KL Rahul is running in very poor form and there is a demand to give Shubman Gill a chance in his place. The special thing is that during the training session on Monday, Gill and Rahul did batting practice together. In the first two Tests against Australia, Rahul could not do any special charisma with the bat and could score only 38 runs in three innings. Due to poor form, KL Rahul has also been removed from the post of vice-captain in the Test.

Both the batsmen batted for about 30 minutes in two nets under the supervision of head coach Rahul Dravid. The team management has faith in Rahul’s abilities and is giving him extra chances, but with each failure the pressure is mounting on the batsman. Gill, on the other hand, has impressed across formats in the current season and his fans, including former cricketers, feel that there couldn’t be a better time to give him a chance in the playing XI.

While Shubman Gill showed aggressive attitude during practice, Rahul paid more attention to his defence. Rahul either left or blocked the first 18 balls and then played shots in the air against the spinners. He then swapped places with Gill and faced Ravichandran Ashwin. During this, he batted with a straight bat.
Dravid had said to back
KL Rahul has got a lot of support from head coach Dravid. Dravid had said after the Delhi Test match that the team management would continue to back Rahul. Rahul Dravid had said, ‘I understand that Rahul needs to trust his process. This is just a stage. He has been one of our most successful overseas openers. He has scored centuries in South Africa and England. We will continue to support them. If seen, KL Rahul has been able to score runs at an average of 33.44 even after playing 47 Tests.
