Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates required to Instagram to applaud India’s love for development. Gates drove a Mahindra Treo electrical car around town and published the video on his Instagram with a charming, old Hindi tune playing in the background. The electrical vehicle, Gates composed, has 3 wheels, no emissions and makes no sound, well, other than for the horn naturally. “India’s enthusiasm for development continues to astonish. I drove an electrical rickshaw, efficient in taking a trip as much as 131km (about 81 miles) and bring as much as 4 individuals,” Gates composed. “It’s motivating seeing business like Mahindra add to the decarbonization of the transport market.” Gates can be seen smiling and driving the car as Babu samjho Ishare, horn pukare … from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi plays in the Insta video. Mahindra Group chairman, Anand Mahindra, responded to Gates’ video with a wacky one-liner– “Chalti ka Naam Bill Gates ki Gaadi”. He even welcomed him and previous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar to a three-wheeler EV drag race. Tendulkar is yet to respond to Mahindra’s invite. Despite the fact that Gates’ video appears like a prepared advertising strategy for the Mahindra electrical vehicle, however, it is still enjoyable to view and an ingenious marketing technique.
