Kavitha grilled for over 10 hours, summoned once again today

HYDERABAD: BRS MLC and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s child Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who appeared prior to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the 2nd time in connection with the Delhi alcohol fraud case on Monday, was grilled for more than 10 hours at the ED workplace in New Delhi starting at around 10.30 am and left around 9.15 pm flashing a success sign. Following more than 10 hours of interrogation, the ED summoned Kavitha once again and asked her to appear prior to it at 11 am on Tuesday, sources stated. Kavitha’s partner, Devanapalli Anil Kumar, accompanied her till she reached the ED workplace primary gate about 10.30 am on Monday. Kavitha and her relative, who showed up in New Delhi on Sunday, met legal specialists on Monday prior to she was deposed prior to the ED authorities for questioning under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). According to sources, the BRS MLC was faced with the declarations made by Hyderabad-based business owner Arun Ramchandran Pillai, a jailed implicated in the event apart from her previous auditor Gorantla Buchi Babu. Following 5 hours of questioning Pillai and Kavitha, ED authorities produced Pillai prior to the court, and the court positioned him on judicial remand till April 3, with the ED’s cops custody ending on Monday. At around 1 pm on Monday, Kavitha was questioned by a group of ED authorities– consisting of females officers– based upon her savings account declarations and monetary deals. Following this, Kavitha, Pillai, and Buchi Babu were each separately questioned by the examining firm authorities. After lunch, the ED resumed questioning Kavitha. About 7 pm, a group of supporters led by Telangana state extra AG Jayaramachander Rao, Kavitha’s counsel Soma Bharath Kumar, and Gandra Mohan Rao got in the ED workplace.
