India Today Conclave-2023 started on Friday. Army Chief Manoj Pandey, Union Minister Smriti Irani, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, TMC MP Mahua Moitra and other big names participated in the two-day India Today Conclave. During this, Delhi Education Minister and AAP leader Atishi Marlena spoke on ‘India and David-Goliath Battle’. During this, Atishi targeted the central government, alleging political use of investigative agencies. Atishi claimed that after coming to power in 2015, 186 cases were registered against AAP leaders. But none was found guilty. Atishi also targeted the central government by referring to the Hindenburg report.

Atishi Marlena said, the people of India have always had a voice, they have always had thoughts. Wherever you go, travel by bus or train, you will get everyone’s opinion on every matter. If you travel in the train, you will get to hear these views and opinions. When you start a train journey, you don’t know anyone, but when the journey is over, you know everything about the people sitting next to you. If there is an election somewhere in India and you go to a tea shop or any corner, you will find discussion about it there. This is India. Everyone has a medium to express their opinion.

Education Minister of Delhi said that Union Minister Smriti Irani has just talked about the growing economy of India. He also mentioned some global reports. But when on one hand we are talking about the growing economy of India, on the other hand we should have also talked about those reports where the figures are worrying for India. There are many global indexes in which India is falling down every year. Atishi said that India is going below its neighbors in the Global Human Development Index.

Atishi said, when we pick up the newspaper, we usually find news of shortage in health services. Recently we saw a news from MP, where a man had to take his wife 65 kms, so that she could get treatment.

‘Need to improve the education system in the country’

The Education Minister of Delhi said, there are only 6 ICUs per 1 lakh people in India. There are 136 beds for 1000 people. These are the issues where India needs to work. Where we need to raise our voice.

Atishi said, similarly is the issue of education. We know how important education is for us. How important is the education of the child, his future for every person. Every year in January the first impact survey report is released. According to this, 50% of the school going children in the country do not know how to read and write. As Indians, we need to raise our voice on this issue. There are 4.8 crore Indians unemployed in India. We need to talk about these issues.

Recently the Hindenburg report came, there is a need to raise voice on this. How fast the wealth of Adani Group, close to the ruling party, has increased. But so far no investigation has been done in this matter. If we talk about becoming a superpower, then we need to raise our voice in the matter of corruption.

Action is taken on raising voice against the Center – Atishi
Atishi said, India’s voice is also being attacked today. If someone raises his voice against the ruling party at the Centre, criticizes them, then an attempt is made to suppress him. As a political leader, I know how cases are being filed against politicians. CBI, ED are being used against opposition leaders.

Atishi said, our party is not very old. Since we came to power in 2015, cases were registered against 186 of our leaders. But no one was found guilty in a single case. Despite this, the agencies are continuously taking action against the leaders of AAP and the leaders of the opposition parties. There is not even a .1 percent conviction rate in any of these cases. But the central government wants to suppress every voice that is being raised against them. As Indians, we need to raise our voice on this issue. This voice should be protected.

There are very few who she hasn’t impressed with her commitment & brilliance. Delhi education minister @AtishiAAP has been associated with AAP and she talks about ‘David-Goliath battles’ in the field of politics at #IndiaTodayConclave #Conclave23 https://t.co/aVs98PJItn
