There have actually just been 2 Canada-wide federal civil service strikes in the last 30 years, in 1991 and in 2004.

The 1991 strike postponed grain deliveries, flights and cross-border travel, while the 2004 strike included numerous picket lines established at federal workplaces, tax centres, ports, airports and border crossings. In the late summertime of 2004, strikes by Parks Canada employees briefly shut numerous national forests in addition to the Rideau Canal.
