It is funny that TN State Govt Holiday for Vinayaka Chathurthi was on Sunday 17th – when actual Vinayka Chathurthi in most of the country is on 19th. Some amendment GO made it on 18th. Still, how it was made on 17th in the first place? Is it the way this Govt. acts on Sanatha Dharma to not only criticise but also indirectly not giving holidays for worship at the appropriate dates?
I recollect former DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s practice of not greeting people on Hindu festivals. Critics see Karunanidhi’s brand of “rationalism” as inconsistent in that he has been known to greet Muslims and Christians during Ramazan and Christmas. He has also been accused of disparaging Hindu gods and religious practices.
“For Karunanidhi, rationalism stops at Hindu-bashing…” said Cho Ramaswamy, editor of the Tamil weekly Thuglak. “He would never make similar jokes about Muslim or Christian beliefs” Is it a combo of Hindu bashing and Islam/Jesus praising that is called rationalism in the books of DMK?
Now I realised how much importance we need to give to Dr.Subramaniam Swamy’s words about removing Hindu Temples from this Govt’s Ara Nilaya Thurai, as Sanathana Dharma destroyer is stitting and controlling them through this Ara Nilaya Thurai.
