India’s Enforcement Directorate performed searche at the facilities owned by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Amanatullah Khan in connection with a cash laundering case. The ED did something about it based upon a First Information Report (FIR) submitted by Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and another which was submitted by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The cases relate to declared corruption over visits to the Delhi Waqf Board, which Khan chairs. Khan, 49, deals with accusations that he unlawfully hired 32 individuals for the Delhi Waqf Board breaching norma and federal government standards. trending nowIt is likewise declared that he delighted in corruption and favouritism. The ACB detained Khan last September in connection with the Delhi Waqf Board corruption case after healing of supposed incriminating product and proof. He was given bail later on. Khan belongs to legal assembly (MLA) representing Okhla constituency in the Delhi Assembly. The ED searches are being carried out under arrangements of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The raids on Khan’s properties came close on the heels of arrest of fellow AAP leader Sanjay Singh in connection with a supposed Delhi import tax policy fraud. Singh, a member of Parliament’s upper hou e Rajya Sabha, was detained from his house in New Delhi by the ED. He was 2nd popular leader from AAP in another case, about the alcohol policy.
