A male was fatally shot and a gun supposedly took throughout a morning authorities raid in St Elizabeth on Wednesday. Reports are that in between 5am and 5:45 am, a group consisting of members of the Counter-errorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) and the St Elizabeth cops performed an operation in the Burnt Savannah neighborhood of Lacovia, targeting criminal suspects from Kingston who were thought to have actually been hiding in the rural parish. Throughout the operation, while breaching the primary targeted facilities, a guy apparently pointed a gun at the breach group and the police. A member of the group took protective action and released his gun, striking the suspect in the upper body. The suspect supposedly dropped a Smith and Wesson.40 handgun, packed with a publication consisting of 8.40 calibre cartridges. The shooter was carried to the Black River Hospital, where he was noticable dead. He is yet to be officially determined.
