World Cancer Day: Cancer Survivors’ ‘Cycle for Change in Marathon’ Flagged Off To Raise Awareness|Image: Republic New Delhi: The style of the cycle rally, flagged off by AIIMS director Dr M Srinivas on World Cancer Day on Sunday, resonated with ‘Pushing the Pedal for Cancer survivors.’ The biking marathon, entitled ‘Cycleforgold,’ happened at AIIMS in New Delhi, intending to raise awareness, address difficulties in accessing care, and gather assistance from society for the treatment and care of kids with cancer. The main launch of the Global Challenge, part of the project ‘Shaping their Future– A Call for a Plan for Childhood Cancer,’ followed the inaugural flag-off in Lucknow on February 1, 2024. This marks the beginning of a 34-day motion beginning with International Childhood Cancer Day on February 15th, reaching March 8th, International Women’s Day, covering an overall of 2,00,000 km jointly. AIIMS director, Dr M Srinivas, revealed his dedication to teaming up with stakeholders, consisting of NGOs like Cankids Kidscan, to make sure 100% gain access to and look after kids with cancer.
