After the swearing in of Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh, now the swearing in of the CM post is going to take place in Odisha. For the first time, BJP government has been formed in the state and after 24 years the state is going to get a new CM. Mohan Charan Majhi will take oath as CM.

Actually, Andhra Pradesh has got a new Chief Minister in the form of Chandrababu Naidu. He has taken oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the fourth time. Along with Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh have also taken oath today.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu, Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth were also present at the swearing-in ceremony in the morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah also attended the program. The event was held at the IT Park grounds in Kesarapalli city. This time TDP has won an absolute majority by winning 135 out of 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. The name of the CM in the state was considered decided after the results.
Today, Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi is also going to take oath as the CM of Odisha. In Odisha, BJP has won 78 out of 147 seats and has achieved majority. The party has elected Mohan Majhi as the leader of the legislative party a day earlier, who is going to take oath as the CM today.

Kanak Vardhan Singh took oath as Deputy CM. He has been an MLA since 1995. He has been a minister twice in the coalition government. He has been an MLA from Patnagarh seat six times. He was the president of Odisha BJP. His wife has been a BJP MP.
Pravati Parida also took oath as Deputy CM. She became MLA for the first time from Nimpada seat. She is a lawyer in Odisha High Court by profession. She has been the state BJP Mahila Morcha president.

In the assembly elections held in Andhra Pradesh, TDP has won 135 out of 175 seats. BJP has won 8 out of 10 seats. Apart from this, YSRCP was reduced to 11 seats. At the same time, in Odisha, BJP defeated Biju Janata Dal and ended the 24-year rule of Naveen Patnaik. It won 78 seats in the 175-seat state assembly. BJD was reduced to 51 seats, while the Congress party won 14 seats. Naveen Patnaik took over as Chief Minister in March 2000. Since then, he has won all five assembly elections and remained the Chief Minister.
