New CM, 4 old ministers in the cabinet… Know

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi took oath as the 8th Chief Minister of Delhi at the Raj Niwas. Along with Atishi, 5 cabinet ministers have also taken oath, out of which 4 were ministers in the previous Kejriwal government, while one new face has joined the cabinet.

The names of Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Imran Hussain, Mukesh Ahlawat are included in Atishi’s new council of ministers. Mukesh Ahlawat is the new face in this. Atishi, who studied from Oxford, had emerged as a big face of the party and the previous government at a time when Arvind Kejriwal was in Tihar jail in the liquor scam. Atishi, who became MLA from Kalkaji for the first time, has become the 17th woman to hold the post of Chief Minister in India and the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. 43-year-old Atishi is also the youngest woman Chief Minister of Delhi.
