There has been an explosion in a house in Nowshera, Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. The explosion was so severe that many nearby houses collapsed due to the blast. Now the death toll in this accident has increased from four to five. Those killed include a three-year-old innocent girl and her one-and-a-half-year-old brother, while six people are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
According to the news agency, the police said that people had stored firecrackers in a house located in a village in Shikohabad. In which there was a sudden explosion. Due to this explosion, the roofs of nearby houses also collapsed, due to which many people got buried under the debris. Also 4 people have died.

10 people rescued from the debris: Police
Agra Range IG Deepak Kumar says, “Firecrackers were kept in a house in Shikohabad PS area and there was an explosion. Due to the impact of the explosion, the roof of a nearby house collapsed. Police pulled out 10 people from the debris….6 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital and 4 people have died…Further rescue operations are still going on…”
He said, ‘There is a possibility that some people may still be buried under the debris. The teams of the fire department and police department and the district administration are engaged in relief work under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police and CMO officers.
Seven people of a family buried under the debris
According to local residents, there was a sudden explosion in the firecracker warehouse at around 10.30 pm, due to which the walls of the building collapsed and about seven people of the same family living in it got buried under the debris.
According to information received from the district hospital, the deceased have been identified as Meera Devi (45), Aman (20), Gautam Kushwaha (18), Kumari Ichha (3) and one and a half year old Kalu.
In response to a question, Kumar said that allowing any type of firecracker warehouse in densely populated areas is prohibited. Necessary action will be taken in the matter after gathering information about how this warehouse was being operated in a densely populated area.
The senior police officer said that the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team will also reach the spot soon, so that relief and rescue operations can be expedited.
