PDP leader and contesting election from Bijbehara Iltija Mufti participated in Aaj Tak’s special program ‘Panchayat Aaj Tak’ and answered all the questions. During this, he targeted the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir as well as the Central Government. He said that the situation in the state is not as the Central Government is trying to portray.

On the question of PDP forming an alliance with BJP, Iltija said, ‘Mufti Saheb met Modi ji in front of everyone, Modi ji did things with him, that photo is also in front of everyone. What should I say about the rest of the people? Not my family but PDP formed an alliance with BJP. Mufti Saheb’s effort was that we would be able to moderate Modi ji.

After two months, when the media reached there, Bill Clinton had his feet on the table and asked where is the Lalwa Paan… So we thought that we will change Modi ji, he has changed the whole of India. ,
Iltija said, ‘We thought that we will give them a secular mindset or moderate them, the whole of India went mad, that is to say Muslims, Muslims, Covid spreaders… Mufti Saheb’s intentions were clear. He (Mufti Mohammad Sayeed) worked with Vajpayee ji. You see, Vajpayee ji took a bus to Lahore, any Prime Minister of Congress would do the same, no… We thought that we would moderate BJP but he drove the rest crazy.

What a good work the Jamaat does, it provides free education to children in schools. But their candidates have a different background, you see which party they are coming from.
