Preparations for Deepotsav begin in Ayodhya, know what will be special in Ram Nagri

Yogi government has started preparations for the grand and spectacular 4-day Deepotsav to be organized in Ayodhya from 28 to 31 October. Many cultural programs and shows will be organized daily in Deepotsav. More than 100 artists will participate. Excellent lighting, 45-minute laser show and fireworks display will be the main attractions of this festival to be held in Ayodhya.

7 colorful, internationally inspired tableaux will also be shown in the Deepotsav. More than 25 lakh lamps will illuminate various ghats including Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat. The unique lighting system will fill Ayodhya Dham with a mysterious aura reminiscent of Saket Dham.

Let us tell you that this year the first festival is being celebrated after the inauguration of Ram Temple, this tradition started in 2017 when Saryu Ghat was decorated with record-breaking lamps.

This year, spectacular modern lighting and artefacts will be arranged in the Deepotsav in Ayodhya which will give a different look to the city. The festival will feature hi-tech and moving color-changing LED panels and multimedia projections that will decorate not only the main venues but also various locations across Ayodhya.

Welcome gates designed with theme based lighted pillars will welcome visitors at Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat. Major routes including Bhakti Path will be illuminated with attractive lighting and flower decorations. Apart from this, Gonda bridge on the route from Ayodhya to Gonda and Basti bridge on the route from Ayodhya to Basti will also be decorated attractively, which will give a beautiful view.

The entire Ayodhya Dham including all the major temples will be decorated with special decorations, in which lighting will be the main attraction. Attractive signage boards will be installed at more than 500 important places in the city. Also, various cultural programs will be organized every day during the Deepotsav festival. Cultural programs will be organized in several shifts each day, with the main program lasting for 45 minutes. More than 100 artists will perform at Ram Ki Paidi and other major places.

The main event will also feature a laser show, multimedia projection and a choreographed firecracker display. The main attraction will be the eco-friendly green aerial firecracker show that will light up the sky of Ayodhya for more than 10 minutes and fill it with vibrant colors and lights.

A grand procession will be the main attraction, which will include seven large mechanized tableaux including the iconic ‘Ram Rath’. These tableaux depicting various episodes from the life of Lord Shri Ram will be inspired by the famous festivals of Ororo (Bolivia), Basel (Switzerland), Salvador (Brazil), Barranquilla (Colombia), Dusseldorf (Germany) and the Grenadines.

In a unique blend of tradition and technology, Deepotsav will also introduce a virtual reality platform that provides a unique experience of the holy sites of Ayodhya. Pilgrims and visitors will be able to visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi Temple, Nageshwar Nath Temple, Ram Ki Paidi and many other prominent places through virtual medium.
