BJP slams Arvind Kejriwal over Chief Minister’s house, shares video; AAP reacts

The renovation of Delhi Chief Minister’s residence incurred a total cost of Rs 52.71 crore, according to a “factual report” submitted by the Delhi government’s Vigilance Directorate to the lieutenant governor last year in 2023.

The BJP has accused Kejriwal of constructing a “7-star resort for himself” using public funds.

The controversy surrounding the Delhi Chief Minister’s official bungalow continues as Delhi braces for assembly elections to be held early next year. The bungalow, located at 6 Flag Staff Road, was previously occupied by Arvind Kejriwal before Atishi became the chief minister.

In its latest charge against the former chief minister, the BJP accused Kejriwal of constructing a “7-star resort for himself” using public funds. The BJP has been calling the bungalow a “sheesh mahal,” referring to it as a palace of mirrors that signifies luxury.

Virendraa Sachdeva, president of the Delhi BJP, took to social media to level the charges. “We have been telling you the truth about the glass palace of debauchery of the person who calls himself a common man, Arvind Kejriwal. Today, we will show it to you too! He has built a 7-star resort for himself by embezzling public money!” Sachdeva said in a post on X, sharing detailed accusations of the bungalow’s lavish features.
