A shocking case of fraud has come to light from Vadodara district of Gujarat. Here a gang used to cheat only women by posing as fake Tantrik. Vadodara Crime Branch has arrested 6 accused of a gang that cheated people by luring them to give 10 times the amount of money on the pretext of performing Tantric rituals and solved 6 incidents.

Someone took a loan and someone gave the money by mortgaging the land.

Falling in the trap of this gang, a person had taken a loan of Rs 11 lakh in order to double and ten times the amount of one. Apart from this, someone had given money by mortgaging his land. Which these thugs grabbed.

A gang was active in the city for the last three months in which the accused used to cheat people by giving false names like Raju, Ashok, Arvind, Maharaj and Mahesh and talking about tantric methods. Police said that this gang used to trick people into believing that the money kept in the box would double or even 10 times.

Opened the box after two months and found coconuts

A woman living in Ahmedabad was lured to pay 10 times the amount for a coin with Mataji’s photo. The woman kept Rs 30,000 in a box and was asked to open the box after two months. After two months, when the woman opened the box, only 3 coconuts came out. These accused mostly target women for fraud.

They used to lure the victim to a secluded place by giving false names, performing tantric rituals on peacock printed 10 rupee notes, 3 digit notes and coins of Mataji, taking them to a secluded place and pretending to perform tantric rituals. .They used to cheat by keeping money in a box and replacing it with a box containing coconut.

6 accused arrested

ACP of Vadodara Crime Branch said that we have arrested 6 accused of the gang targeting women and 4 accused are absconding. Police have seized goods worth Rs 8 lakh along with cash of Rs 6 lakh from 6 accused. Police had been receiving complaints for the last several days, after which the Crime Branch had formed different teams and investigated.

Search continues for 4 accused

To convince the women, a team of the gang used to go and promise to double or ten times the money in exchange of notes with peacock print and special numbers. After this, he would deliver the note to the other team and call them and pretend to perform the tantric method. Then after keeping the money in a box, they would change the box. They would hand over a coconut box to the victim and order him to be confined for 2-3 months. Police are still searching for the remaining 4 accused.
