ONCE AGAIN, LIFE has decided to imitate art. According to a new report from TMZ , Tom Holland and Zendaya, who have starred together in three Spider-Man films as Peter Parker and love interest MJ, are engaged. Holland reportedly popped the question in the time between Christmas and New Years 2024.
Holland and Zendaya have been in a relationship since 2021—the same year that their most recent film, No Way Home, was released. Speculation that the couple had taken the next step in their relationship began on Sunday night when Zendaya, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in Challengers, showed up on the red carpet wearing a very large diamond on her ring finger.
Holland is featured on our latest Men’s Health cover, where he discussed why he doesn’t typically join Zendaya at premieres and events. “Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment,” he said. “And if we go together, it’s about us.”
In his MH interview, Holland also shared what his future family life could look like. “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore,” he said, citing his desire to play golf and be a dad instead. “Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”
The 28-year-old star was last seen on the big screen in 2022’s Uncharted, though he starred in Apple TV+’s limited series The Crowded Room back in 2023. The majority of that series, coincidentally, was directed by husband-and-wife team Brady Corbet and Mona Fastvold, who were among the big winners at the Golden Globes for The Brutalist .
Recently, it was announced that Holland and Zendaya will join the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next movie, which will reportedly be a new telling of The Odyssey. It’s not clear yet what character each actor will be playing, but the movie is slated to be released in July 2026.
