Maruti Suzuki debuted its first EV, the e Vitara, aiming to lead India’s EV market within a year, with production set to begin in the year’s second half. Eicher Trucks and Buses introduced the Eicher Pro X Range electric SCV, targeting the competitive 2-3.5 GVW segment with a focus on lower operating costs compared to diesel models. Hyundai launched the Creta Electric at ₹17.99 lakh, projecting India’s EV market share to grow from 2.5% to 15-20% by 2030.
