Saudi Arabia Takes Part in New Delhi World Book Fair 2025

The New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 (NDWBF) kicked off on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Grounds in Delhi, India.

The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission is representing Saudi Arabia at the New Delhi World Book Fair 2025, as part of the Commission’s efforts to foster cultural cooperation between the Kingdom and India, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Through its participation, the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission aims to bolster Saudi Arabia’s cultural and literary status on the global stage, raise awareness about the Kingdom’s cultural heritage, and highlight its contributions to the global literary landscape. Moreover, it seeks to strengthen cultural and intellectual exchange between both countries.

In addition, the Commission’s contribution aims to boost the presence of Saudi publishing houses in international cultural forums, further fostering Saudi literary creativity on the regional and international levels.

The Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission’s pavilion at the NDWBF hosts several sections that highlight the Commission’s literary and cultural initiatives and programs. These include the “Tarjem” Initiative, which showcases the translation movement in Saudi Arabia.

The pavilion also includes sections dedicated to the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language and the King Fahd National Library.  Furthermore, the Commission offers a diversified cultural program, featuring 6 panel sessions that discuss many cultural and literary topics.

Saudi Arabia participated in New Delhi World Book Fair 2024 as the guest of honor, where it hosted several cultural programs and events that demonstrated the richness of the Saudi cultural and creative scene.
