The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police has intensified the investigation of the stampede on Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. UP STF teams are busy investigating the angle of the conspiracy. An attempt is being made to find out whether a stampede was done under a conspiracy in Mahakumbh. As part of its investigation, UP STF is investigating the data of mobile numbers active around Sangam Noz. DIG Vaibhav Krishna of Mahakumbh Mela area said, ‘There is no conspiracy on the day of Mauni Amavasya, is there a conspiracy, it is also being investigated with this angle. Because many inputs have come that are pointing to this.

If sources are to be believed, data of more than 16 thousand mobile numbers is being analyzed. In the investigation so far, many mobile numbers are coming closed since the incident. The suspects are being identified through the face recognition app from the CCTV of the Command and Control Room in the Mahakumbh Mela area. The UP Police is on high alert for the bath of Vasant Panchami. Tonight, the big officers of UP Police will be active on the field in Mahakumbh and Prayagraj.

On the occasion of Vasant Panchami, the third Amrit bath to be held in Mahakumbh will start from 5 am on Monday. First at 4 am, Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani will reach Sangam Ghat for Amrit bath. After this, one by one other 12 arena will also take a dip in the confluence. Let me tell you that on the day of Mauni Amavasya, on the day of 29 and 30 January, there was a stampede in Prayagraj Mahakumbh around 2 pm. About 16 hours after the incident, the Mahakumbh administration confirmed the death of 30 devotees and injuries to 60.

Entry ban of vehicles till 4 February in Prayagraj city

According to the Uttar Pradesh Information Department, till 8 am on February 2, more than 41.90 lakh devotees had taken a holy dip in the confluence. In this way, during Mahakumbh, more than 34 crore devotees have taken a bath in the Sangam. On the occasion of Vasant Panchami, the entry of vehicles coming from outside has been banned before the Amrit bath to be held on 3 February. Devotees coming from other districts will have to park their vehicles in the parking stand outside the urban area. From here, devotees will be able to reach the nearest ghats by walking on the shuttle bus and on foot. This system will be applicable from 2 to 4 February. Separate parking stands have been created for large and small vehicles.

After the stampede on the intervening night of 29-30 January in Mahakumbh, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken strict steps to manage better mob management and devotees. Under this, the movement of vehicles in the city has been banned a day before and until a day after the main bathing festival, all VIP passes have been canceled. All 40 pantoon bridges connecting Mahakumbh Mela to the city have been opened. Previously, vehicles with valid passes were allowed to travel to various camps set up in the Mahakumbh Mela area. Those holding VIP passes were allowed to go to the akhadas and the tents of the sadhus in various sectors.

Prime Minister NarendraModi will go to Mahakumbh on 5 February

The officials looking at the management of the Mahakumbh Mela clarified that there will be no restriction on the movement of vehicles, ambulances and other essential service provider vehicles of the police and administration. An official statement said, ‘VIPs and VVIP delegations planning to go to Prayagraj will not receive special treatment or protocols. Additionally, the government has made it clear that any VIP or VVIP movement should be informed at least one week in advance. This rule will help prevent VIP visits to be held in the last moments that can disrupt the system for pilgrims. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to come to Mahakumbh on 5 February.
