As they completed 6 months in detention on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir’s leading mainstream leaders such as Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah of the National Conference (NC) and Mehbooba Mufti of the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP), are not likely to be released anytime soon by the administration.
Top government sources stated the administration was not instantly evaluating the cases of NC president and Srinagar MP Dr. Abdullah, whose detention was extended for 3 months in December under the Public Security Act (PSA) for the 2nd time.
