The Trinamool Supremo also lashed out at the agency without naming them for “the failure of solving big incidents like the RG Kar incident.” Trinamool Congress had won 215 seats in the 2021 assembly polls.
The RG Kar case is being investigated by the CBI after Calcutta High Court ordered the central agency to probe the RG Kar rape and murder of a PGT doctor at the hospita premises, after initial proe by Kolakat Police.
“In 2026, our main target is to win more seats than in the last assembly polls. We have won 215 in 2021, we must win more than 2021 seats. That should be our target. Mamata Banerjee has already spoken about two thirds majority in 2026 polls,” Trinamool National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said.
Reiterating Abhishek Banerjeee, the Trinamool Supremo said, “Last time they had said, “iss baar 200 paar and in Delhi 400 paar’. Abhishek was right. Two-thirds majority will be there but you must ensure more seats. This time, BJP must lose their deposits!”
