In the 12th grade examination of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), there has been a political uproar when asked questions related to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In the political science examination held on March 4, the students were asked when the Aam Aadmi Party was established and what are its policies. The Punjab BJP objected to this and accused the ruling AAP government of influencing the political thinking of the youth through the education system.
Punjab BJP media chief Vineet Joshi said, “Asking students about the policies of AAP means that they must have been taught about it throughout the year. This is trying to influence the thinking of young voters before the 2027 assembly elections.”
The BJP leader further said, “Is the Aam Aadmi Party bringing politics in the education system? Is this the education model of Delhi, which is now being implemented in Punjab? If you were to ask questions in the exam, then why was the question not asked on BJP’s foundation day?”

He also alleged that this step has been taken to influence the youth of 17-18 years.
At the same time, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains described the BJP’s allegations as baseless. State President and Minister Aman Arora said, “BJP should be patient, perhaps questions about them next time too. But the question is, what should be asked on the BJP who has given a jumla of 1.5 million jobs? Neither the Chief Minister sets the question paper nor the minister, this work is done by the education department. If questions related to politics were asked in political science paper, what is wrong?
