In an unfortunate incident, a travel vlogger has claimed to have been assaulted by railway pantry staff after he filed a complaint about overcharging for food and water.
The video of the incident has gone viral over various social media platforms. In the video a group of people can be seen attacking the person, tearing his clothes, allegedly in retaliation for his complaint on overcharging on the RailMadad app.
The victim has been identified as Vishal Sharma. The incident reportedly occurred when Sharma reported the pantry staff for charging Rs 20 for a bottle of water instead of the approved price of Rs 15 for Rail Neer. He was also overcharged for coffee and noodles.
In the video, the staff is found confronting Sharma when he was taking rest on his third-tier berth. A group of men, including one in a green shirt were seen screaming for him to come down from his upper berth.
