A homicide probe has been launched after two boys were stabbed to death on Saturday.
A 12-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy both died with critical injuries on the streets of Cobblebank, in Melbourne’s west, about 8pm.

The younger victim was found on Marble Dr, where paramedics attempted CPR, but were unable to save him.
The older boy was located shortly after on Cobble St, when police received reports of a second boy injured nearby.
The 15-year-old boy was also treated where he was found, but did not survive.
The two deaths are believed to be connected, but how they came to be remains unknown.
Police are treating the stabbings as targeted attacks.

“I need answers for what killed my son,” Elbino Akueng said.
“He’s a basketball player, he’s not a criminal.”
Akueng, who works as a security guard, said that he protects people at work every day, but lamented that his son could not be protected from the rampant knife crime in the city.
“I miss you my son, I’ll miss you forever,” he said.
Investigations are ongoing.
