‘Peace is not possible by putting development in danger’, Jaishankar said in New York
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said in a meeting of G20 Foreign Ministers that dialogue and diplomacy is necessary for global peace and development. Jaishankar called terrorism a threat to development. He emphasized the need for diplomacy and cooperation to improve multilateralism, maintain international stability as well as give it a positive direction.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said in a G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in New York that dialogue and diplomacy are very important for global peace and development. He said that recent struggles such as Ukraine and Gaza have had a serious impact on energy, food and fertilizer security. He said that peace cannot be brought by putting development in danger.
Jaishankar further said that it is not helpful for anyone to make energy and other essential items more uncertain in the financially delicate situation. Therefore the solution is only in conversation and diplomacy. He said that even in the event of any struggle, there are some countries that have the ability to include both sides. The international community can use such countries to establish peace and maintain peace. Therefore, when we try to deal with such dangers for peace, the importance of encouragement is equally big.
According to the news agency ANI, Jaishankar said that terrorism is a big threat to development. It is important that the world should not taller terrorist activities, nor compromise with them. In addition, he drew attention to multilateralism and the borders of the United Nations and said that the need to improve multilateralism is more than before.
