What began as a tense, second-by-second duel between Csongor Lehmann and Vasco Vilaca ultimately turned into a triumphant Supertri title for the Hungarian star. Lehmann not only claimed victory in the final race in Toulouse but also sealed the overall championship and thus 50.000 dollar.
The Toulouse finale followed Supertri’s famously brutal format – three back-to-back ultra-short triathlons of 300 meters swimming, 4 kilometers biking, and 1,200 meters running, with no rest in between. The overall title was on the line, and the battle quickly focused on Lehmann and Vilaca.
In the opening stage, both men stayed together within a larger lead pack, but by the second of the three heats, it was clear Lehmann had the upper hand. His power and consistency began to show, leaving Vilaca struggling to keep pace.
By the third and final heat, the gaps widened. Lehmann and his teammate Seth Rider took control, locking down the front of the race. Vilaca fought hard to hang on but could only watch as his deficit on the bike stretched to nearly twenty seconds.
In the decisive 1,200-meter run, Lehmann delivered the perfect finishing touch. He dropped Rider to cross the line first – winning both the Supertri Toulouse event and the overall 2025 Supertri Championship. Rider finished seven seconds back in second place, with Vilaca taking third, fourteen seconds adrift.
