Hours of police body camera, dash camera, and drone video footage were released by the Texas Department of Public Safety on Friday (November 21, 2025), giving details related to their search for Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland in the hours before officers found him dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound earlier in November 2025.
The videos display the time period from when law enforcement started pursuing Kneeland, 24, in his Dodge Charger for speeding, starting shortly after 10:30 p.m. on November 5, 2025, according to ESPN. The chase continued until officers located his body around 1:30 AM on November 6, according to ESPN.
Amid the police pursuit, Kneeland crashed his car into a pickup truck and fled on foot. Police in a Dallas suburb said that Kneeland was found dead of an apparent suicide after evading authorities in his vehicle and fleeing the scene of an accident on foot. ESPN reported that officers actually located Kneeland’s body in a portable toilet located in a parking circle between two office buildings.
Following the discovery of Kneeland’s body, Frisco police said that they are investigating the suicide, as reported by news agency AP. They said Kneeland did not stop for Texas Department of Public Safety troopers over a traffic violation in a chase that was joined by Frisco police on Wednesday night.
