A shocking incident came to light in Mohammadpur Gurjar village of Nakur police station area of Saharanpur on Friday evening. Farmer Ramkumar, who caught the cobra seen in the field and brought it home, died due to the bite of the same snake. The villagers warned him several times, but he took the warnings lightly. This entire incident was captured in video, which is now becoming increasingly viral on social media.
Cobra was caught from the field and brought home
According to the police, farmer Ramkumar was working in his field on Friday evening when he saw a cobra. He caught the snake without showing any fear and brought it home. The people of the village tried to convince him that this is a very poisonous snake, but Ramkumar ignores their words. After bringing it home, he kept playing with the cobra and started showing off by holding it in his hands.

Cobra bitten on tongue and hands
While playing, the cobra first bit Ramkumar several times on his hands. Despite this he did not stop and brought the snake near his mouth. Then the cobra bit his tongue also. Within a few minutes the poison started showing effect and Ramkumar’s health deteriorated rapidly.

Rushed for treatment, but could not save life
The family first took him to snake healers in Jankheda. There it was told that it was a very poisonous cobra. When his condition did not improve, they even took him to snake charmers, but to no avail. Ultimately Ramkumar was taken to Gangoh Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead. By then his entire body had become numb and the poison had spread completely.
Panic in the village, police and forest department team reached
There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. The forest department team reached the village and investigated and warned the villagers that tampering with any poisonous creature could be fatal.
SP Dehat confirmed the incident
SP Dehat Sagar Jain said that Nakur police station had received information about the incident. The team reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Investigation revealed that the deceased Ramkumar had caught the cobra found in the field and brought it home and he died due to its bite. The police have appealed to the villagers to maintain distance from such dangerous creatures.
