Such a political uproar was witnessed in the Mexico City Assembly on Monday, which caught the attention of the entire world. During the debate on an important reform related to transparency, a heated clash broke out between the women MLAs of the ruling party and the opposition, which quickly turned into a scuffle. This entire incident was captured on camera during live broadcast and is now going viral on social media.
The controversy started when women MLAs of the opposition National Action Party (PAN) reached the main podium of the Assembly alleging violation of rules. He said that the ruling Morena party has bypassed the rules on the strength of its majority. During the protest, there was first a heated argument between the two sides and then the atmosphere went completely out of control.
It can be seen in the viral video that women MLAs of both the parties are seen quarreling with each other. Incidents like pushing, elbowing, slapping and even hair pulling were also reported. The Morena Party MLA was seen trying to forcibly remove the opposition members from the podium, while the PAN MLA was not ready to step back.

After the incident, a PAN ally held a press conference and alleged that his party had protested peacefully, but the ruling party tried to gain control through force. A woman MLA of PAN called this entire incident shameful and against democratic norms.
After the uproar, the opposition MLAs walked out of the House, due to which the ruling party proceeded with the debate without the presence of the opposition. On the other hand, Morena Party hit back and said that the opposition is adopting the path of violence instead of arguments because it is not able to present its point in the debate.
