He told that Odessa region and southern parts have suffered a lot in this Russian attack. Zelensky has given this information by posting on social media platform X and said that his army is busy in restoring normal life in the affected areas.
8 people died in the attack
According to reports, eight people were killed and 27 injured in the Russian attack on the Odessa area on Friday night. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russia attacked the port infrastructure of the city of Pivdenny with a missile.
CNN reports that Odessa has been under continuous attacks for the last nine days, causing power outages in the city and surrounding areas.

Zelensky has also shared a video of the horrific devastation giving information about the Russian attack. Ukraine got big financial help
Giving information about international aid, Zelensky further told in X Post that an important decision has been taken for Ukraine this week. The European Council has allocated a financial package of 90 billion euros (about $106 billion) for 2026-2027. Apart from this, big aid packages have been received from Norway and Japan and an agreement has been signed with Portugal on joint production of maritime drones.
Emphasis on diplomacy for peace
Zelensky further wrote, ‘Ukraine and America’s negotiating teams are looking for ways to end the war with an honorable peace. The long-range sanctions imposed on Russia are also working well. The aggressor country should understand that there is no benefit from war and it always comes back to where it started. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine. We have to strengthen our defense capabilities, so that diplomacy has a real chance of stopping the bloodshed.

Peace talks continue in Miami
Meanwhile, Russian Presidential Special Envoy and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev said that the ongoing talks in Miami for a peace agreement in Ukraine are progressing constructively and he also said that the talks that started on Friday will continue till Sunday (local time).
According to the TASS report, these meetings took place between Russia and America, in which apart from Dmitriev, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner were involved.
After the meeting on Saturday, Dmitriev told the media, ‘The discussions are being held in a constructive manner. They have started and are continuing today, will continue tomorrow also. He emphasized on the ongoing talks between the two sides.
