This case which came to light from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh is shocking. A father, who, to save his son’s life, even mortgaged his house, took a loan, sought help from relatives and villagers… but could not save his son. After the death of his son, the father had to beg on the streets to pay the hospital bill. This incident has left everyone stunned.
In this case, now the victim’s father Ram Lal has rejected the claims of the hospital management. He says that during the treatment of his son, he had already given about Rs 3 lakh to the hospital in different installments. Despite this, after the death of his son, the hospital management started demanding additional Rs 3 lakh 10 thousand from him.
Ram Lal says that he is from a very poor family. He gave everything he had for the treatment of his son. We sold jewellery, borrowed from people, and finally even mortgaged the house. Thought the son would be saved, but God had something else in mind. Saying this, Ram Lal’s voice fills.

The people of the village have also said many things about Ram Lal. Rural Prempal says that the family is very poor. The entire village helped as per their capacity for the treatment of Ram Lal’s son. Prempal says that there would hardly be anyone in the village who has not helped this family. How was the young man injured?
24 year old Dharamveer was a resident of Nagariya village of Dataganj area of Badaun district. He was injured in a road accident on 1 December. First he was admitted to a hospital in Badaun, from where when his condition became critical, he was referred to a private hospital in Bareilly. He was treated in the hospital for about 13 to 14 days. Due to serious head injury, an operation was done, but ultimately the young man died.
Hospital management claims – bill waived
On the other hand, the hospital management has denied these allegations. The hospital had said that the entire bill of the deceased’s family was waived off and no incident of begging took place on the hospital premises. The hospital staff claimed that some relatives of the young man worked in the hospital itself. He also said that many medicines were administered free of cost during treatment and the bill was waived off after death. Hospital staff Ramesh had said that not even a single rupee was deposited by the family. The treatment was free. Later the hospital was defamed as part of a conspiracy.
What is the truth – need for investigation
On one hand, the claims of the hospital management, on the other hand, the statements of the victim’s father and the villagers. There is a difference between the views of both the sides. The question is, if the bill was waived, why did the father have to beg on the streets? And if the money was already deposited, where is its account? At present the victim’s family is demanding justice.
