Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir is in big trouble these days. Three major crises have come together in front of them – the old tension with India, the deadly attacks by BLA in Balochistan and the open war with the Taliban of Afghanistan. By 27 February 2026, the situation has worsened so much that Pakistan has declared open war on Afghanistan.

1. Tension with India – Kashmir’s old wound reopens

2. BLA attacks in Balochistan – big threat inside the country

Balochistan is the largest but poorest province of Pakistan. Here a separatist organization named Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has been fighting for years.

The Pakistani Army retaliated and claimed to have killed 145 to 216 BLA fighters. But the attacks are not stopping. Asim Munir’s army is accused of doing too much politics in Balochistan. Security is weak. Pakistan says that BLA is getting help from India and Afghanistan.

3. Open war with Afghan Taliban – the newest and most dangerous crisis

Pakistan says that TTP (Pakistani Taliban) hiding in Afghanistan carries out attacks in its country. Therefore, on 21 February 2026, Pakistan carried out air strikes in Nangarhar, Paktia and Khost of Afghanistan. Taliban took revenge. On 26-27 February, Afghan forces attacked Pakistani border posts.

Afghanistan claims – 40 Pakistani soldiers killed, 15 posts captured. He also claimed to have shot down a Pakistani jet. In response, Pakistan carried out more heavy bombing on Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia. Pak Defense Minister said that we are in open war with Afghanistan. Asim Munir had already warned Taliban – You will have to choose between Pakistan and TTP.

Pakistan says that India and Afghan Taliban together want to weaken Pakistan. It has been claimed that India helps BLA. Taliban gives shelter to TTP. Both of them together are carrying out attacks inside Pakistan. Asim Munir is now fighting on three fronts – India on the border, Balochistan inside and neighboring Afghanistan.
