British politics is even more toxic. Communities are more divided. The world of social media commentary they have railed against is more prevalent than ever. Angry voices are loud in the British media landscape.
But we know — when Harry is out and about — he is so good at being “royal”.
During the Duke’s July visit to England, which was dominated by preparations for the Invictus Games in Birmingham and charity engagements close to his heart, the Prince rarely hid his smile.
Laughing and joyously playing with the children of slain soldiers, we were reminded that Harry’s presence can really mean something.
How can Harry, Meghan prove their return is not a sign of failure? Indeed, at the height of their powers in the UK — in the months between their 2017 engagement and 2018 wedding — Meghan had all the makings of the Duchess the royals need.
A biracial outsider, she managed to connect with communities across the UK — and indeed the world — in a way few other royals can.
Elements of the British press see their impending return as a sign of failure, their American dream shattered after multimillion-dollar deals with Spotify and Netflix dried up.
How can they prove them wrong?

Reconnect with a nation that longed for their pairing to succeed.
And be part of the family again. A father and son reunited.
