Revenue from white land fees helped support 17 projects in Asir: MOMAH
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing (MOMAH) said seven million sqm of undeveloped land in Asir entered development programs, as part of the implementation of the White Land and Vacant Property Fees Law.
In a statement, the Ministry said the area includes 1.5 million sqm of land that has been developed, in addition to 5.5 million sqm currently under development. This is expected to enhance the utilization of undeveloped land and support an increase in the supply of real estate and housing in the region.
It said revenues from the white land fees helped support 17 projects in Asir, as fee proceeds are directed toward supporting infrastructure for housing projects and promoting urban development in the region.
According to data available with Argaam, the total area of undeveloped land that entered development or trading programs across the Kingdom has now reached around 286 million sqm. Fee revenues have contributed to supporting 88 housing and infrastructure projects.
