You can not try to satisfy both sides, judge informs govt. counsel.

The Madras High Court on Monday sought the response of the State federal government and the police by March 9 to a number of public interest litigation petitions that called for the expulsion of all those who were objecting versus the Citizenship (Modification) Act by crouching on public roadways without cops consent and triggering hassle to the general public.

Kritika Kamal told the court that an FIR had been registered with regard to a demonstration near Salem old bus stand, against which one of the 2 PIL petitions had been filed.
