Coping and Mental Health
Break outs of transmittable illness, such as COVID-19, can be a difficult time for individuals and neighborhoods. It is not unusual to feel nervous or concerned while listening, reading or seeing the news.
Luke Bergmann, director of County Behavioral Health Providers, said it is very important to monitor your own physical and mental health, in addition to securely stay linked to your neighborhood. Know the signs of stress and when and how to look for aid for yourself, in addition to loved ones.
” In the face of social distancing, keep in mind that we all require one another– possibly more than ever– to get through tough times like these. Staying emotionally linked as a neighborhood even if we momentarily end up being more physically isolated is critical to all our psychological health,” stated Bergmann.
