Asian hornets were first found in the US last fall.

Even as the United States stays under attack from the coronavirus break out, a new horror has gotten here: “murder hornets”.

The 2-inch long Asian huge hornets have actually landed in the United States for the very first time, spotted on the west coast.

Numerous stings are lethal to people and in their “slaughter stage” the hornets damage honeybees, whose bodies they feed to their young.

Scientists are now on a hunt for the hornets, wanting to remove the species before they erase United States bees.

Though they usually prevent people, in Asia, “murder hornet” stings are thought to cause as numerous as 50 human deaths a year, according to the New york city Times.

The hornets made their very first North American look in August 2019, in British Columbia, Canada. Months later on, in December 2019, the flying pests were reported south of the border, in Washington State.

Washington State University (WSU) are uncertain how or when the hornet first shown up in North America, however beekeepers in the region have reported gruesome hive deaths in recent months. Researchers are bracing for additional introduction of the species, which starts its life process in spring.
