Shramik Special trains to now have three stops, increased capacity
A train spokesperson stated a State must sign up travelers and send a demand, after which the train would be run. The permission of the State government where the train journey would terminate was not necessary.
The decision is bound to create confusion as the States have to set up other centers such as quarantine centres and transport of the inbound travelers. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has implicated numerous Opposition-ruled States of declining lots of trains shuttling migrants, a claim that has been refuted by the States.
