As lakhs of migrant workers continue to walk to reach their homes amid the lockdown, the Union government on Tuesday released new guidelines mentioning that the schedule, location and stoppage of Shramik Unique trains will be decided by the Ministry of Railways (MoR) based on demands from States.
It said the motion of these trains shall be allowed by the Ministry in assessment with the Ministry of House Affairs (MHA).
